Rajesh founded India's first games company- Dhruva Interactive, in 1997 and is acknowledged as a pioneer of the Games Industry in India. Dhruva today, is India's leading games company providing game development and content production services to the global games industry. Rajesh is active in promoting and growing the game industry in India; He has launched the GameTantra Incubator, the first incubator for gaming startups in India. He is Chairperson of the NASSCOM Gaming Forum, the main industry platform for the gaming industry in India. He is Member, FICCI Media & Entertainment Committee, an influential Media and Entertainment forum that lobbies for policy change to address the interests of the M&E sectors in India. Dhruva's success and Rajesh's entrepreneurial journey have been chronicled in Tom Friedman's bestselling book, 'The World is Flat'. Rajesh was invited to speak at Stanford University as part of a lecture series by the US – Asia Technology Center. He has spoken at a number of game industry conferences and events, like Casual Connect, GDC, GDC Europe, E3, Pocket Gamer Connects and X|Media|Lab. Dhruva and Rajesh have been featured in leading newspapers and journals, including The Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and Time Magazine.

Ajit Pillai


Ajit joined Dhruva in 1999 and has been an integral part of the management team ever since. Ajit has over 25 years of experience in his domain, having spent over 10 years in various accounts and finance positions in the construction and steel sectors before joining Dhruva in 1999. As Dhruva's CFO he oversees all finance, banking and accounts functions as well as ensuring all statutory compliances. Ajit is a Post-Graduate in Commerce and has trained to be a Chartered Accountant.

Ramesh Alapati

EVP - HR and Business Operations

Ramesh Alapati is responsible for the company’s overall Human Resource strategy, building the talent brand with a key focus on driving the culture, change management and Business Transformation. Aligning with Dhruva’s vision and ambition, Ramesh leads the efforts of the organization in attraction of talent, building the leadership, crafting the business strategy, implementing new business lines and enhancing operations efficiency. Ramesh has 20+ years of experience, worked at the start-up phase of the organizations and built mature people processes to help scale and grow their operations. Before joining Dhruva he was at Fidelity Investments, India and has handled several key assignments and initiatives. Previously, he held senior Human Resources roles within Motorola, India. He holds a post-graduate degree in Human Resources.

Raju Patil

Raju has been with Dhruva since its inception and is the first employee of the company. Raju has a strong foundation in multimedia, software engineering, project management and overseeing production and delivery of products. He has contributed in various roles in Dhruva's over the years. He headed Dhruva's mobile game development and publishing business between 2003 ~ 2008, and delivered more than 15 mobile titles including Maria Sharapova Tennis, Cricinfo Genie, Slyder, Pat Cash Pro Tennis, Cricinfo Trivia Champ and Charlie Chaplin games. In 2011 he was tasked with setting up the Social Games group, which he grew to a 100 person team in just 9 months, and today the group provides turnkey content creation for live games to a number of marquee clients.

Just after getting his MBA done from one of India's top business management schools, Mukund decided to jump the traditional career path for pursuing his passion of becoming an artist in the games industry, which led him to Dhruva. Mukund's strength is his ability to blend domain knowledge and management skills to get his team to deliver on the most challenging assignments. His successful deliveries include 330 man-months over 9 months for one of the leading game racing franchises today. He gets stuff done...

Erik t' Sas - General Manager Game Studio

Erik t' Sas

General Manager Game Studio

As General Manager Mobile, Erik oversees all mobile business strategy, operations and development for the game studio. Before joining Dhruva, Erik was General Manager Mobile at KIXEYE in San Francisco. Prior to this, he was co-founder of Rough Cookie, a Netherlands-based game company focused on development for mobile platforms. He created the award-winning game, Star Defense, which was highlighted in Apple's 2009 WWDC keynote to demonstrate the power of the iPhone. Rough Cookie was later acquired by DeNA in 2011, and t' Sas continued as Chief Creative Officer to lead game products as well as the EU teams for the Mobage social mobile platform. Prior to Rough Cookie, he also founded Khaeon Games in 1999, where he led development for various multi-platform, multi-genre game properties and teams, including the critically acclaimed Unreal-based MMORPG, The Chronicles of Spellborn, and the Fight Game franchise. Erik graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from Haagsche Hogeschool in The Hague, The Netherlands.

Arjun heads up the Business Development for Dhruva's Console content services division. He has been in the industry 8+ years and specializes in international business development, strategic planning and marketing. Arjun has successfully introduced and helped maintain Dhruva as an integral, reliable, trustworthy and valued partner for a whole array of publishers and developers since he joined. He loves doing what he does. He graduated in International Business from the International University of Bruchsal, Germany.

Balaji heads the Business Development for Dhruva's Social & Mobile games content services and end to end mobile game development service offering. Balaji has 14 years of experience in technology services and gaming. Balaji is responsible for positioning Dhruva as an integral part of on-boarding and live content production for large social and free to play mobile games publishers as well as getting publishers on board for work for hire/co-development for mobile/tablet games.

A veteran game designer with accumulated sales of over 20 million units, including puzzle-based Adventures, Platformers, Sports Sims, Shoot 'em Ups, Beat 'em Ups, Puzzle games, Resource Management games and sprawling RPGs, Gregg is credited with such pioneering titles as the Horace series, The Hobbit, Way of the Exploding Fist, Rock 'n Wrestle (the first ever wrestling game), the hugely successful Discworld point & click adventures, and the critically acclaimed Ghost Master. Gregg is vastly experienced in all facets of video game development from game design and programming through to running entire development studios, with particular emphasis on creative direction, game design and user interface design. Well versed in the creation of proprietary IP and the adaptation of licensed IP, Gregg is expert at setting and realizing creative visions for individual projects as well as across entire studios.

Erik Egerup

Studio Art Director

Erik has 10+ years of experience in game art. His last engagement was as Art Director with Massive – a Ubisoft Studio. Erik has a great understanding of the synergy between the brand, the game and the artistic vision, all of which need to work together to create a bestselling game. He has great artistic skills and sense of colors, space and lighting as well as great understanding of technical limitations and creative solutions for games. His notable work before Dhruva include Farcry 3 and World in Conflict: Soviet Assault. At Dhruva he has played a vital role, working on projects with Microsoft, Sony and 343 to name a few.

Russel John Comte

Studio Art Director, Social

Russel has extensive experience in the games industry. He has been an Art Director on various projects for over 20 years, with experience on everything from 8bit consoles, early 3D, Sony PS2, to current gen games machines. He has travelled widely working for such companies as Melbourne House Australia, Cinemaware Los Angeles, Microprose / Spectrum Holobyte, Infogrames and Atari. His work includes Art Direction on various titles including Transformers Armada PS2, GP500 PC, Grand Prix Challenge on PS2 amongst many others.
